Isle of Skye

Isle of Skye (Gaelic: An t-Eilean Sgitheanach or Eilean a' Cheò) is the largest island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. The coastline of Skye is a series of peninsulas and bays radiating out from a centre dominated by the Cuillin hills. The island's rocky slopes provide some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the country. The landscape of the Skye is very scenic and island has provided the locations for various novels and feature films and is celebrated in poetry and song.
